Somewhere, Falwell's spinning in his grave

Via HuffPo comes this Seattle Times story about young evangelicals who are fed up with the GOP. They haven't floated into the Dem fold yet, but they have decided that some issues are more important than abortions and gay people. Like, say, the Iraq war. The story quotes a student at an evangelical university:

Most of us would never blindly follow the old Christian Right anymore. James Dobson has nothing to do with us.

In other words, count on a schism in the evangelical vote in the years to come.

The MTA is clueless. Man, if you need a place to vent or learn the full story behind mass transit horror stories, check out Gothamist. The MTA admitted that the service was not acceptable on many accounts, from the flooding to the fact that the MTA's website was overwhelmed. Via Blue Wave News , Van Jones' speech at the Campus Progress National Conference, which rang true to this cautiously optimistic liberal.
