Crybaby conservative alert!

Wingnuts are mad at Joe Biden for using the word "blitzkrieg." "Waaaaaaah! He's bein' mean an' comparin' us to Nazis!" On that note, a music break. Note: I interviewed Tommy Ramone once. Kewl dude. He now plays bluegrass and looks like a hippie. 'Tis true!

Crybaby conservative alert!

The Kentucky Senate race is looking to be fuuuuuuuun. Now, Rand Paul is complaining about liberals . Yes, according to him, liberals are displaying "intolerance." Just for once, I'm going to dispense some advice to one of these people: Stop whining. Mr. Paul, you were on the Rachel Maddow Show and Ms. Maddow gave you an opportunity to explain yourself. You dodged her questions, and it was really cringe-worthy. If you can't handle it, go back to eye surgery.

Crybaby conservative alert!

"After the last eight years, it’s good to have a president that knows what a library is." That's Sir Paul McCartney, after accepting a prize from President Obama. All of a sudden, the wingnutosphere remembered that insulting the president (specifically, the one before Obama) is ANTI-AMEHRIKIN! This is very amusing, given that right wingers have been trying to forget GWB even existed since, I dunno, 2007. They even kept him away from the 2008 Republican convention. After all, Bush-bashing had become a universal past-time, indulged in by everyone from comedy writers to Mayans . Now, all of a sudden, in a sudden rush of 2003-style faux outrage, right-wing politicians and pundits are mad at McCartney. John Boehner whined to Human Events about it (and lots of commenters joined in the whining). Human Events reporter Connie Hair tried to buff GWB's scholarly credentials by pointing out his Harvard MBA (thank heaven for legacy admissions, eh, Connie?). It's re...

Most recent addition to the Whinerpalooza: Stephen Baldwin . And why is Mr. Baldwin whining? Because people have been making fun of him. From his Web site: He has been publicly ridiculed and insulted by people who think that he has been abandoned by God. A simple search through the internet will reveal that people not only mock Stephen, but mock God. Oh good gravy. Has Stephen Baldwin elevated himself to demi-godhood? Seriously, this is another right-winger with an inflated persecution complex. Thus, mocking Stephen Baldwin = TEH BLASHPHEMY!!1!1! He also compares himself to Job. And is soliciting donations so he can be "restored," whatever that means. Can't Alec Baldwin give him a guest spot on "30 Rock" to shut him up about this persecution complex? Check out the site. It has to be seen to be believed.

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Via Balloon Juice comes this tale of rich conservatives with sour grapes--erm, I mean, right-wing populists : I stopped by Freedom Plaza on Tax Day to check on the progress of the nation's populist revolt. On the stage, I saw the great populist leader himself: Grover Norquist, who, after getting two Harvard degrees, developed his common-touch lobbying for the tropical island paradise of the Seychelles. Norquist spoke from a lectern bearing a Tea Party emblem and a simple message: "The people speak." And which people might those be? The people of the Seychelles tourist industry? Or the people of British Petroleum, Fannie Mae, the Distilled Spirits Council and the Interactive Gaming Council? Norquist represented them all, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. It gets better from there. Seriously, these teabaggers are being played like a cheap kazoo.

Crybaby conservative alert!

Li'l Tucker Carlson still hasn't forgiven Jon Stewart for being mean to him on "Crossfire." Say, what has Tucker been up to these days, anyway?

The stupid! It BUUUUUURRRRNS!

This is just funny. Beelzebub and Lucifer--uh, I mean, Mike Huckabee and Ann Coulter--are doin' the "I'm more of a wingnut than YEW!" thang. Meanwhile, here's the condensed Rush Limbaugh : "Waaaaaaaah! Liberals were mean to Bush in 2001! They never liked him! Why should we conservatives be nice to Obama, huh? Waaaaaaaah!"

More crybaby conservatives!

Via Newshoggers we find Jules Crittenden in meltdown mode over Paul Krugman's Nobel Prize. I wouldn’t want to suggest Krugman excuses terrorism or hates America. It is likely, however, that his extensive Bush-bashing, Saddam-dismissing, GWOT-mocking absurdism was a heavy thumb on the Nobel scale. Curious that an economist whose work on patterns and locations is Nobel-worthy couldn’t do the math to figure out that a sociopathic mass-murdering megalomaniac with a pattern of supporting terrorism, seeking WMD and invading neighbors, located on some of the most strategically important real estate on Earth, with whom much of Europe was eager to trade again, is someone who could no longer be tolerated.... Memo to Bushitler regime: Is there a reason Krugman is not yet locked up in the hated Crusader gulag of al-Guantanomiyah with the traitors Moore and Cronkite? Say, isn't Jules Crittenden the same whiner who published John Cole's home address when Cole became a Democrat? Why y...

More pre-emptive right-wing whining

Gwen Ifill has written a book called The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama . The book hasn't been published yet. In fact, the book won't hit the shelves until January. However, since she has written a book with "Obama" in the title, the wingnutosphere is convinced that she won't be a fair moderator for tonight's VP debate. I know the righties are unusually protective of the Precious Princess. But throwing a snit fit over a book none of these yahoos have read yet? This is really, really reaching. WorldNutDaily has decided it's a pro-Obama book, because...uh...because why, really? Actually, it's likely that "Obama" is included in the book's title because, well, he's the best-known African-American in politics today. Nobody knows if this book will really the puff portrayal that Joe Scarborough, Michelle Malkin, et al. are pretending it is. Actually, here is the description on Amazon . Ifill argues that the Bla...

'Tis the season of crybaby conservatism

Republicans in Washington have been unusually lachrymose during the past month. And I don't think it's just the public self-immolation of Sarah Palin. Or even the inevitable election losses in November. No, it's mean, awful Nancy Pelosi who said some horrible things that hurt their feelings. In fact, some House Republicans were so hurt that they voted against the bailout. Oh, boo fucking hoo. If Democrats could suffer through twelve years of GOP fucktards like Newt Gingrich, Dick Armey, Tom DeLay, and Dennis Hastert treating them like subhumans worth only of ridicule, then Republicans should be thick-skinned enough to withstand a few "hurtful" comments by one of those wimpy San Francisco liberals they hate so much. From TAPPED : Clearly, Boehner couldn't deliver the votes and he's trying to blame someone else for being ineffectual. But his excuse doesn't make the House GOP look better, it makes them look worse. Boehner is saying that his Party is...

Precious Princess Palin: "Waaaaaaaaaah! Mean Democrats are bein' mean! WAAAAAAAAH!"

The mother of all crybaby conservative alerts!

John McCain is mad at CNN. So mad that he canceled an appearance on Larry King.

Crybaby conservative alert!

"Waaaaaah! Liberal meanies are picking on Sarah Palin! They're mean! An' they suck! Waaaaaah!" P.S. In my opinion, Palin's hypocrisy is the real issue here. While she went hog-wild with the GOP family values/anti-abortion/religious fundamentalist hooey, her underage daughter was having sex with a self-proclaimed redneck kid who liked to use the word "fuckin'." At the risk of sounding like a liberal meanie, I think it would be really funny if one of her kids came out as gay 10 years from now. In the meantime, a lot of homeless teenage moms in Alaska are going to have a hard time finding a place to live because Palin cut the funding that could've helped them . Admit it. You're really shocked by this.

Crybaby conservative alert!

Professional swiftboater Jeromi Corsi can dish it but he can't take it. "I think some juvenile leftists have taken over the Obama campaign and gotten a hold of Photoshop," Corsi replied. "Now I'm getting death threats and hate mail from Obama supporters." Wow. You mean people are sick of these little smear campaigns you and your mouth-breathing buddies trot out every election year? Color me shocked.

Another day, another crybaby conservative alert

And it's the Prince of Darkness himself, whining about how Team McCain "used" him. How do I put this nicely? No duh, Bob. Strangely, it's never bothered you before.

Crybaby conservative alert! Again!

Speaking of whiners... "It is clear to me that Democrats want to attack me rather than debate Senator McCain on important economic issues facing the country." That's Phil Gramm, explaining why he resigned from the McCain campaign. A more eloquent way of saying "WAAAAAAAH! I'm sick of them meanies!"

ANOTHER crybaby conservative alert!

Just a few days after Brent Bozell scoldfest, Amanda Carpenter is complaining about young voters, with their newfangled Facebook groups. It would be hard for anyone her age (she is 25) to sound like a supercilious old biddy, but Ms. Carpenter pulls it off with aplomb. I thought at the age of 18 you became an adult, with the right to vote and sign up for the military, not be pandered to by desperate political candidates. I guess most people in that age bracket are pretty childish, though. Most of them are college students living off of mommy and daddy's dime, who are hand-fed their meals from a dining hall. Which is why most of them lean Democratic--they're dependent and haven't been made to earn their own way yet. Of course, there are lots of other 18-25 year olds outside this category, like single moms and men and women oveseas [sic] in the war, but you never see those people interviewed in those stories about the youth vote. The only youth who typically are engaged in po...

Crybaby conservative alert!

Brent Bozell III wags his finger at liberals who are writing and saying mean things about Jesse Helms, "a man credited with impeccable conservative credentials in the U.S. Senate." No, Bozell didn't mention in too much detail the exact reasons people hated Helms. According to him, the nasty liberals just want to go poopy on the grave of a dead conservative. Mean liberals that include...um, er, um...Andrew Sullivan. Gee, one of us liberal has got to say something nice to show that we're not all a bunch of intolerant meanies. So let me say something in Helms' defense. During his political career, you couldn't find a more ardent supporter of America's white, heterosexual Christian population. See, he wasn't a total hater. P.S. Hoooooooo boy .

Crybaby conservative alert!

Shorter Patrick McHenry : "Waaaaaaaah! The mean soldiers won't let me go to the gym!"

Crybaby conservative alert!

Oh goody. Another nutcase radio talk show host is mad at McCain. And for once, this guy is a McCain supporter. No, it's not Michael "Gay Penguins" Medved. Now that even the Republicans are, well, at least pretending to distance themselves from these lobotomized zombies, expect to see more anti-McCain rage in their ranks. I still think McCain's going to pick a bona-fide, raving loon of a rightie as a running mate. Maybe it'll be Sam Brownback. He'll pick a wingnut so that the wingnuts will like him again and in tacking to the right, he'll alienate any independents or Democrats who haven't yet realized that the Straight Talk Express is now permanently derailed.
